Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Assay Development Scientist (m/f/d) to join us in Vienna, Austria.
In this role, you will work with internal and external stakeholders on the development of genetic and epigenetic liquid biopsy assays.

Main Responsibilities
- Assay development for genetic and epigenetic liquid biopsy.
- Perform molecular biology experiments, including DNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) from native human samples.
- Develop and optimize library preparation protocols for genetic and epigenetic single-molecule sequencing (e.g., Oxford Nanopore Technologies) for low DNA input.
- Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
- Maintain and prepare laboratory equipment and reagents.
- Maintain detailed laboratory notebooks and documentation for all experiments.
- Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and place orders as needed.
Requirements
- University degree qualification in molecular biology, biochemistry, or similar discipline (including BMA/MTA qualification) with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of molecular assay development and analytical validation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on mentality and can-do attitude.
- Good level of English.
